After One Year

It has been a year since I started my college life. I have yet to answers the questions: "What is architecture to me" and "What is my philosophy". I think it is really important to have answers to these questions. But before those questions lets recap what has happened these past months.
     1. I have a new big family. At first we were just four people getting close to each other but as the days go by four turned to six then now we're twelve, or slightly more. Well, almost the whole FAR4. I love this block so much!
     2. A talent never discovered. I know that I am not as gifted as others are in my course but I am really happy and blessed that God gave me an opportunity to become a scholar and study in this unique and awesome institute.
     3. Teachers. There are ups and downs but we all get through, don't we. I am happy that I got some talented teachers. I can say that Benilde, or rather the Architectural dean chooses well when it comes to teachers and scholars. I would say all the teachers in Benilde are great and there are some who aren't or does not deserve to be in the faculty nevertheless it is up to the students to perform to the best of their abilities!
     4. LEARNER-CENTERED. First of all this has always been a La Sallian attitude or way of learning hence if there are others with this type of abbreviation or term it would have come from De La Salle Philippines. The term already focuses on the student rather than the education. Student comes first then the academic is implemented to suit or to be a help in modeling  the infrastructure of the school.

Downfall
     1. I want to be in a dorm because it will be easier for me  to go to school especially when it comes to my upper years.
     2. Transportation. It is hard to commute especially when you are far away from the school.
     3. Vices. There are a lot of things going on in college and this is the time wherein youth explore the world, especially those who comes from a close minded family.

Birthday bash.

Today, April 21, Alexis and I had a joint birthday party held in Il Piccino. The food is great as usual, after all, its my sister who cooked. Good thing we ordered a small birthday cake or else we will be so bloated!
I wasn't able to take picture of the food, especially since I know what the food is like.
It was really nice seeing old high school friends (though its been a year), and catching up with one another. Though I am sure the once who goes to the same universities see each other often that all their talking about during dinner was things that recently happened while those who goes to the other side of town's university are wondering what is all the fuzz about, right? Anyway things rather get interesting like gossiping about former classmate, how they are like now, how is college and how is love? Things like these are usually the basic questions during a reunion. Then one thing leads to another like events from the past and such. Eventually, one by one someone starts to leave, ending the night...though there are those who stay behind and do silly things. When six of us where left we decided to go to 7-eleven to buy some drinks. Good thing my mother agreed to it or else this would have never happened. We only bought tanduay ice and one beer (for a friend who really drinks beer, keep in mind that all of us were girls and prefers anything else besides beer). When we arrived in back home we were 5 left and 4 of us just helped ourselves with the drink. I never really drink a lot not unless I am in my house, because I know there will be someone there who knows me who will take care of me. And may I add that my mother prefers if I drink in front of her or within the premises of the house. the 5 of us enjoyed ourselves with the liquor we had and the company. One year, has it been that long? I will surely miss those time and these small gatherings. I will surely miss my friends, who I have grown with, when I leave. I need to sign out now, I am really sleepy and tired from the 3 day convention. May all be well in the early morning.

Summer Soundtrack!

Its been quite a while since I last blogged.
The main topic for today is no other than MUSIC!
Summer soundtrack, more of acoustic/pop.
I have been searching for new good music.
I might be a little biased because whenever I hear good acoustic rhythms I can't stop liking them.

1. Stay (Acoustic) by Artist vs Poets
The things I like about this songs are:
                      1. AWESOME GUITAR SKILLS!
                      2. Catch-y melody and harmony
                      3. Lyrics
                      4. Cute boys playing! HAHA!

2. Adorable (Acoustic) by Artist vs Poets
Can I just say this song is Adorable?

3. Oh Well, Oh Well by Mayday Parade
I have listened to the original version, its also nice with the punk rock side to it as well.

4. Everything's an Illusion by Mayday Parade

5. Beneath my Skin by Minor Soul
Max and Jack Wagner are two gifted musicians! Their voices compliments the other and their skills in playing the instruments are amazing.

6. A Drop In the Ocean by Ron Pope

7. Stranger by Chris August
The first thing that caught my attention is the guitar, then the lyrics!

8. Signs (Acoustic) by Block Party
The original is really cool...then I came across the acoustic version, I just fell in love with it all over again!

More songs to come! :)
